1. Who we are
This policy explains how Revenue for Good Ltd (“rfg”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit revenueforgood.co or contact us. We are the data controller for that data.
- Company: Revenue for Good Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16023454
- Registered office: 26 Heol Isaf, Radyr, Cardiff, CF15 8AL
- Contact for privacy questions: info@revenueforgood.co
We are a small business and do not have a Data Protection Officer. Henry Lee, our founder, is responsible for data protection.
2. What we collect
We only collect what you give us through the website, plus basic technical data from your visit.
| Where | What we collect |
|---|
| Contact form | Name, email, company, what you need help with, your message |
| Fixed Line application | Name, email, organisation, and what you tell us about it and the challenge you want support with |
| rfgx Diagnostic | Name, email, company, your answers to the questions, and your resulting scores |
| The Climb to 10x newsletter | Email address, and name if you give it |
| Your visit | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived, collected through cookies (see section 7) |
Please don’t send us sensitive information, such as health details, through the website. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. How we use it
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use. Ours are below.
| Use | Lawful basis |
|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and discussing working together | Legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us), or steps before entering a contract |
| Assessing a Fixed Line application | Legitimate interests (running our giving-back programme fairly) |
| Giving you your Diagnostic result and following up on it | Legitimate interests (you asked for the result; Henry follows up personally) |
| Sending The Climb to 10x | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us |
| Delivering work for clients | Performance of our contract with you |
| Running and improving the website, and keeping it secure | Legitimate interests; consent for non-essential cookies |
| Keeping business and tax records | Legal obligation |
We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Your Diagnostic scores are calculated automatically, but they’re only a guide and nothing is decided on them alone.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run the business. Each processes it on our instructions.
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|
| Squarespace | Website hosting, forms, contact storage, analytics, and email campaigns | USA and Ireland |
| Google | Web fonts used on the site, which load from Google’s servers and see your IP address | USA |
| Microsoft 365 (Outlook) | Our business email | UK |
We may also share data with professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, or where the law requires it.
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the UK’s adequacy regulations, including the UK–US Data Bridge, or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|
| Enquiries, Diagnostic results and Fixed Line applications that don’t lead to work | 2 years from our last contact, then deleted |
| Client records | 6 years after the work ends, for legal and tax reasons |
| Newsletter subscribers | Until you unsubscribe; then only your email is kept, on a suppression list so we don’t email you again |
| Website analytics | Up to 2 years, as set by Squarespace |
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it, or delete it
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
- ask for your data in a portable format
To use any of these, email info@revenueforgood.co. We’ll respond within one month. There’s normally no charge.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We’ll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use as few as we can.
| Type | What they do | Can you turn them off? |
|---|
| Strictly necessary | Run the site, keep it secure, make the forms work, and remember your cookie choice | No; the site can’t work without them |
| Analytics | Show us, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how people find us, using Squarespace Analytics | Yes; they only load if you accept them |
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We don’t use cookies to follow you across other websites.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. To change your mind later, use the cookie settings link in the site footer, or clear cookies in your browser.
The site also loads its fonts from Google, which sees your IP address in the process. Google doesn’t set cookies when it does this.
